Quarry Run contains angular pieces, stone dust, and other fine material. Under compaction, the smaller content closes spaces between the larger pieces, helping the layer hold together rather than act like loose rock.
For a road or patio base, shape the subgrade, place Quarry Run evenly, then compact it while it has suitable moisture. During wet periods, avoid adding water to ground that is already saturated. This helps create a stable layer beneath the surface while accounting for changing conditions from the valley to the coast.

Good compacting base for a parking pad
Built a small gravel parking pad for a client's shop outside Independence and used six tons of crusher run as the base layer.
